当たり前ですが、内容が壊れない範囲で、かつ差出人が特定されないよう、ちょくちょくフェイク入れております。あしからず。
ケース（１）

There were many strong candidates in the pool this year and it was not easy to select from among the many fine scientists who applied. Nevertheless, all the WWW positions are now filled. ネガティヴな英単語（regretとかunfortunatelyとか）を一切含まずに、しかし選考から落ちたことは疑いようが無い。ここまで書かれたらまぁ仕方が無いか。最後に個人の署名があると、機械的な一斉送信ではないかと思える点もグッド。

We regret to inform you that you have not been shortlisted on this occasion, as we have been able to draw on a shortlist of candidates whose research capacity and leadership more closely match the requirements of the vacancy.
